HCSC Looking to Sign up Seniors for the Golden Angel Program
Every year, Harrison County Senior Center In-Home Department facilitates a Golden Angel Program for our local seniors that would benefit from some Christmas presents. Caregivers, friends, family members or even the senior submit the name of a local senior or their name and three to four items the senior wishes Santa would bring them for Christmas.
Submitters are asked to provide the senior’s gender, age, address, phone number and specifics about the items requested (brand, size, color, etc.).
Seniors often request everyday items such as cleaning or bath supplies or paper goods. Submitters are asked to encourage the senior to also list something personal they really want such as an article of clothing or even a gift card to a favorite restaurant or store.
Please submit the name and information for a senior to be included on the Golden Angel Program by NOVEMBER 14, 2025.

If she is not at her desk or if it is after hours, please leave a message indicating it is about the Golden Angel Program, and your name and phone number and she will call you back to obtain the information. Golden Angels are not identified by name.
A number is assigned to each one and the wish list with return tag is provided to the organization or individual adopting the angel from the program. Last year, we ran out of angels early and we are hoping for more names this year.
Organizations and individuals wishing to adopt and shop for a Golden Angel or Angels please call Crystal as soon as possible at 304.623.6795, Ext 209, and advise her of your intent and the number of angels requested.
Angels will be available for adoption by November 14, 2025. A book with the lists will be available at the front desk until all are adopted out.
Gifts for all adopted angels are due to the senior center no later than Friday, December 12, 2025, to allow time for volunteers to deliver the gifts to the recipients.
